Getting Ready

I got the most amazing package from Mom this weekend. She packed it full of crossword puzzles from the Altoona Mirror, a book, my eye-lash curler, and 100-Calorie Packs of Cheez-Its, Fudge Grahams, Salted and Cocoa covered almonds. ESSENTIALS! Sundays are not days of rest because I must prepare for my four classes on Monday. For the youngest, we will do one last final review of the alphabet and then finish up our cartoon strips from last week, in which they had to use all of the greetings and phrases one uses when first meeting someone (i.e. What is your name? How are you? Where are you from?). For the second level class, we are finishing up the senses (Sight/To see, Touch/To touch, etc.) and for the third level, they are getting their pen pal letters! Finally, for the most advanced level, we will be working on sentence mapping and verb conjugation. Sounds like fun, right?

I'm also hoping to disappear into my Lonely Planet to plan for a few upcoming trips - Roatan or Cayos Cochinos from November 26-28, Copan and Guatemala over New Years with Erika, and then Belize mid-January to renew my Visa. I'm going to be a poor but well-traveled girl by the end of this!

I finally finished "The Girl Who Played With Fire" (very good!) and am now delving into the RA Expeditions before starting the third book in the Steig Larsson series. That is all that is on my agenda for tonight.
